incase you dont feel like going there heres teh users statement below and here is the real news: Here's the info: "This would be the second videogame of the Dragonball series to hit the Playstation 3 following last year's successful, Burst Limit. The game will be launched in Japan this year with no doubt a US releasing following very shortly after. Looking at the scans, Playstation Evolved was able to break down the details of the game:
• This game is not Burst Limit 2. Why? Well for the obvious reason…it is not titled Burst Limit 2. • The game seems to be the newest addition to the Budokai Tenkaichi series and sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Fans of that series will know the game from Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3 which hit the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii. • The game is being developed by Spike, the makers of the past Budokai Tenkaichi games. • This game returns the fan-favorite ways of free 3D flight as the past Budokai Tenkaichi games. • Sources to Playstation Evolved tell us there will be a huge roster with expected DLC in the future, similar to how Ultimate Ninja Storm was updated constantly but on such a bigger and better level with no on-disc downloads but this is still a talked about idea and not 100% confirmed.
Playstation Evolved and the E-mpire crew will be at E3 2009 this year and will definitely be on the look out for the new DBZ game on the show floor and NamcoBandai booth. Follow us on Twitter, the fastest way to get all your gaming news. We’ll be sure to post back anything new on the game ASAP right here on Playstation Evolved. "

a confirmation of the game running at 60 fps(frames per second) from the french atari i will post teh translation of the announcement below http://www.fr.atari.com/news/la-serie-budokai-tenkaichi-debarque-sur-la-nouvelle-generation-de-consoles-avec--dragon-ball--raging-blast--292.html
In 2005, the studio SPIKE minds marked with innovation and gameplay revolutionary series Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi.
In 2009, the same studio SPIKE heralds a new era of Dragon Ball Z games on Xbox 360 and PS 3 by combining their talents to the power of next generation consoles.
Sensational graphics and an animation in 60 frames / sec allow a total immersion in the environments of the series and make the characters even more impressive than the anime.
More details about the range of Dragon Ball Z "RAGING BLAST" will be announced later. DBZ "RAGING BLAST" will be available from all distributors in the fall of 2009.
also from atari forums
a potential few planet namek screen shot
NEW SCAN DI DRAGON BALL RAGING BLAST:
EDIT: french atari says 74 characters and 10 maps not sure if it means with or without transformations without means we may have a decent roster
EDIT: Atari confirmed to not appear with content at E3 how ever they will still be tehre just no booths or games http://www.i4u.com/article24778.html how ever they say in this article they still have un announced games so an american release is still highly likly
this statement made by an atari forum user
Simply put... Atari may not have a future with Dragon Ball.
In North America, FUNimation (the company that handles the Dragon Ball anime in the states) signed a contract with Atari before any of the DBZ games we know and love were created. The contract stated that Atari would license and distribute Dragon Ball games in North America. Atari then went on to create the Legacy of Goku games. Then they had a hand in the development of Budokai. That's why Budokai saw a North American release before Japan. After that, the Budokai games were made in Japan and Atari continued to be the official licensor of Dragon Ball games.
In January 2010, however, the contract between Atari and FUNimation will expire. FUNimation then gets to decide who will license the games. Many have speculated that Namco-Bandai will be chosen as they are the official licensor everywhere else.
We may be talking about Raging Blast, Burst Limit 2, Dragon Ball Wii, and Dragon Ball Kai: Saiyan Invasion on the Namco-Bandai boards.
speculates that if this game is not released before 2010 namco bandai will be the offcial lisenser of the games instead of atari(nothing really that life changing)
a new announcement from atari them selves
by the way the game will not be titled tenkaichi 4 based on all the news ive aquired the gam isnt even dbz in the title its simply DragonBall Raging blast page 1: http://www.atari.com.au/news/details.do?newsId=2301¤tNewsItemPage=1
